Blizzard Business: Vision Accomplished

Thanks to Jonas, I’ve been homebound for five days. Many of my Facebook friends complained of cabin fever, but that has never been my problem. I enjoy being at home. Snow brings out the nester in me. I cradle into my home like a cocoon, all warm and cozy. I get comfy. I get relaxed. And I get…FAT! What I get is fat!

I spent the entire 5 days cooking and eating. Honestly, I don’t regret it. I appreciated the down time and the food was really good. Yes, this girl has skills!! (Boaz beware!)

French toast with whipped cream and cherries, oven fried potatoes, scrambled eggs with cheese, turkey bacon, and pork sausage.

Chili with ground turkey.

Shrimp and grits with buttermilk biscuits.

I’m afraid to get on the scale and assess the damage. I’ll wait until Monday when I can start the week with a clean slate!

In addition to swallowing the entire refrigerator, I finally finished my vision board for this year. And I love it!!

I have two more small items to add to my board, but it’s already hanging on my wall. It’s one of the first things I see when I wake up in the morning. I’m glad that I took the time to carefully select the images. (Not all of the pics I clipped made the final cut.) It’s hard to explain, but I’m at peace with this board. It feels good and I’m excited to see what this year will bring.

So, how did you spend the Snowpocalypse?
